Tyler Owen - Game Designer / Graphic Artist / Programmer

I graduated magna cum laude in 2010 from the University of Dubuque with a B.S. in Computer Graphics and Interactive Media. Most of my days are spent in front of a glowing computer screen where I work on making games as part of the company I founded, Random Seed Games. My recent releases include The Monster Inside, and the well-reviewed slow motion exploration game, TIMEframe.

I am currently working on the Mars exploration and survival game, Lacuna Passage. The game was originally funded through Kickstarter.

I have received many honors and awards including two Silver Addy Awards for "Excellence in Logo Design and Mixed Media Campaign", the Steven A. Wise Game Level Award two consecutive years, the CGIM Leadership Award, the University Service Award, the Dr. Thomas and Virginia Somerville Concert Choir Leadership Award two consecutive years, and the Ruth and Frank Netzel Web Award. I was a member of the Wendt Character Scholars program all four years of undergraduate and I am also a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society.

I have taught myself C# programming along with numerous other skills necessary for being an independent game developer and running my own business.

I live in the tiny town of Lisbon, Iowa with my wife Frances, our daughter Indiana, and our dogs Peanut and Biscuit.

If you would like to contact me about my past work or any new opportunites, please email me with your inquires.
