Tyler Owen - Game Designer/Artist

Tyler graduated magna cum laude in 2010 from the University of Dubuque with a B.S. in Computer Graphics and Interactive Media. Most of his days are spent in front of a glowing computer screen where he enjoys creating his own video game concepts and graphics. He recently released his first iOS title, Iceberg Frenzy, and is now developing a flash game called Laser Missile Bomb.

Tyler is currently working with Best Buy where he is helping to design an educational gaming platform for the Geek Squad Academy. The next step of this project, L33t Fleet, has now been revealed.

He has received many honors and awards including two Silver Addy Awards for Excellence in Logo Design and Mixed Media Campaign, the Steven A. Wise Game Level Award two consecutive years, the CGIM Leadership Award, the University Service Award, the Dr. Thomas and Virginia Somerville Concert Choir Leadership Award two consecutive years, and the Ruth and Frank Netzel Web Award. Tyler was a member of the Wendt Character Scholars program all four years of college and is now a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society.

He lives in Dubuque, Iowa with his wife, Frances, and their dogs, Jethro and Peanut.
